This is the summary of day 10. The 3 full chapters, with the practical actions, are in the course inside the app. In the app: 8 min read across 3 chapters

A sleep association is everything present when the baby falls asleep that they learn to consider part of sleeping: feeding, arms, rocking, a pacifier, white noise, a hand on the chest. On waking between cycles, they check whether the scene is still the same, and call out when it is not. It is not a vice or a trick; it is learning working as designed.

The course sets the tone before the content: there is no universal right way. An association is only a problem if it is a problem for your home, and day 10 shows both the gradual path of change and the legitimacy of changing nothing.

What you'll learn in the 3 chapters

  1. 1

What the baby learns to need in order to sleep

You will understand the concept, its link to wakings between cycles, and the ruler that matters, which is whether the arrangement is sustainable for everyone, including the caregiver.

  2. 2

    Changing associations gently

This chapter shows how to change an association in steps, one change at a time, starting with the first sleep of the night, with tactical retreats allowed, and makes the course's limits clear: it does not prescribe leaving the baby to cry unattended.

  3. 3

Each family's timing is the right timing

Here you understand why there is no universal age limit for sleeping in arms or while feeding, how to filter outside pressure, and why the conversation between caregivers is worth more than any method.
